The flagship wine of Champagne Bruno Paillard. A blend of more than 30 crus, it is a blend of Pinot Noir (45%), Chardonnay (33%) and Pinot Meunier (22%) taken exclusively from the purest juice of the first pressings. 20% of this juice is fermented in barriques giving the wine an extra layer of complexity. An incredible blend of 25 vintages of reserve wines going back to 1985 make up to 50% of the final blend. Brut Premiere an Extra Brut Champagne with a low dosage of 6g/L.
I’ve loved what Bruno Paillard have been achieving for a while, this is a great cuvee and excellent value. Lovely bright green fruit and citrus, matched with biscuity brioche characters from the time on lees and super crunchy acidity. A fine persistent bead and a long finish round the wine off perfectly. A great introduction to a very important Champagne house.
