Premier Cru from ‘Les Suchots’, sandwiched between the Grand Crus of Romanée-St-Vivant to the south and Clos St-Denis to the north, and in exceptional vintages can produce wines easily on par with both. Vines over 80 years old. An exceptionally elegant wine from one of Burgundy’s best vineyards. Red and black berry fruits, with supple, ripe tannins and a long, smooth and silky finish. Be in no rush to drink this, it will improve over the next 15+ years. A remarkable wine for a fraction of the price of the Grand Crus only a handful of metres to the south.
